This is Max Hebditch’s personal website. It has no accounts, advertising or analytics scripts. The site’s own code does not set cookies or track you across visits. Fonts, figures and scripts are served with the site.
Hosting and DNS
Vercel hosts and delivers the website. In doing so, it processes technical information such as your IP address, requested pages, request times and browser or device information. This supports delivery, troubleshooting and security. Hosting logs are separate from visitor analytics.
For processing under my control, the legal basis is my legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure website. Vercel also processes some service data for its own purposes. Its privacy notice and data processing addendum explain its responsibilities, retention practices and international-transfer safeguards. Processing may take place outside the UK.
Cloudflare provides the domain’s DNS service, which helps browsers find the website. Its proxy is disabled: page requests go directly to Vercel. Cloudflare’s handling of DNS-related information is described in its privacy policy.
If you contact me
If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever information you include. I use that information to respond and handle the matter you raise, based on my legitimate interest in corresponding with you. I retain correspondence only for as long as needed for that purpose, relevant follow-up or legal obligations. Please avoid sending sensitive information unnecessarily.
Retention and your rights
Hosting-data retention depends on the type of record and Vercel’s service policies; there is no single retention period stated here for every kind of technical log. You can contact me about the information relevant to your request.
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and receive portable copies where that right applies.
